    Asset Integrity Engineer

    • The Asset Integrity Engineer role is for an experienced self-starter who will provide site-based engineering expertise to support the in-house engineering team. The ideal candidate must be a people-person and have a sound understanding of asset integrity principles in the oil and gas production environments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform corrosion engineering functions, such as NDE/NDT inspection, failure analysis, corrosion protection and coating inspections.
    • Interpret, evaluate, and present inspection findings to the technical manager for review and necessary action.
    • Conduct fitness for service assessments to ensure integrity of assets e.g., piping systems, vessels, tanks, and risers. Ensure that all recommendations for remedial actions are performed in line with international best practices and PRL’s technical standards.
    • Conduct proactive corrosion engineering surveillance activities, routine surveillance of field integrity performance (internal & external corrosion) for piping, pressure vessels, structures, pipeline & marine equipment, and identify opportunities to enhance asset integrity of production facilities.
    • Responsible for updating integrity management database for assigned assets.
    • Develop integrated risk-based and cost-effective integrity management models for MRO solutions.
    • Monitor regulatory compliance issues related to asset integrity standards.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    •  A degree in Engineering or related equivalent. A master's degree and NACE certification will be added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Asset Integrity, Inspection or Corrosion Engineer or other related roles.
    • Experience performing inspection, coating and repair of pipelines, process equipment, tanks and vessels.
    • Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (such as API 579, ASME B31G etc.)
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and frequent changes in priorities
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suites (specifically Word & Excel) and experience in other specific analysis software packages (e.g., MathCAD, Abaqus, Caesar, Autopipe etc.) will be an added advantage.
