    Area Sales Manager

    About the job

    • The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving diagnostics sales performance, executing market expansion strategies, and leading sales activities across the assigned territory.
    • The role oversees key accounts, distributor performance, and sales teams to achieve revenue targets, strengthen market presence, and deliver sustainable business growth. By combining strategic planning, customer engagement, and team leadership, the Area Sales Manager ensures effective execution of sales initiatives and high customer satisfaction across the assigned territory.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute the assigned territory sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
    • Drive business development by identifying and securing new customers and strategic accounts.
    • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure timely forecasting and reporting.
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centers, and distributors.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine territory plans.
    • Ensure effective dealer/distributor development and performance management.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to execute campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports and growth projections to management.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and ethical sales practices.

    Qualifications
    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or postgraduate degree is an advantage). Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) for Bachelor’s degree holders or Upper Credit for HND holders is required.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales or business development within the diagnostics or medical equipment industry.
    • Proven success managing a regional sales team and exceeding targets.
    • Strong commercial and analytical skills with experience in territory management.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
    • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive confidently across assigned territories.
    • High willingness and flexibility to travel extensively within the assigned region to support sales activities, customer engagement, and market development.
