Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and innovative Applications Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain software applications that enhance operational efficiency and support business processes.
• The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional, user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications in alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, UI/UX designers, and system administrators, to deliver robust software solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into existing applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure applications adhere to best practices in coding, security, and performance optimization.
• Document application development processes, code changes, and technical specifications.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve existing systems.
• Provide technical support and training to users as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in application development, preferably in a fintech or financial services environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial applications, microfinance, or insurance-related software development.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance in the fintech or insurance sector.
