Application Developer at IITA - International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

Duties

• Develop and maintain the Cacao Seed Tracker module on the SeedTracker platform.
• Design user-friendly interfaces for mobile and desktop access.
• Develop ODK-based applications and data dashboards
• Provide technical support and training to end users, including extension officers and farmers.
• Support data collection, reporting, and dissemination to stakeholders.
• Assist in troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Provide training and capacity-building sessions for cacao farmers, extension officers, and local organizations on using the platform.
• Develop user guides, manuals, and training materials.
• Generate reports and analytics to inform project decisions and stakeholder communications.
• Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification:                     

• B.Sc / HND qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.

Competencies:

The ideal candidate must:

• Have good communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
• Have good knowledge of software handling.
• Have experience in app deployment on cloud.
