Agronomist at Lightning Networks

We are recruiting for an experienced Agronomist to work on a Commercial farm based in Lagos state (Epe). This is an exciting opportunity to join our Clients expanding and fully integrated agricultural process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position will be responsible for managing a new Maize / Plantain field, from strategic planning through to implementation; Geological surveys, layout of farm production process and providing professional advice to the management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate planting, irrigation, fertilizer application, harvesting, grading, and recordkeeping
• Manage Seed selection, crop yield, and nutritional requirement through the life cycle of crops; and solve problems of the farm.
• Managing relationship between the farm and Technical consultants, field staff and suppliers.
• Train and provide orientation to farm attendants and casual labour.
• Work with Farm Accountant to ensure accurate budgeting proper documentation of Farm Expenses and
• Maintaining and monitoring the quality of crop yield
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

REQUIREMENT

Qualifications: B.Sc / HND in relevant Field

Experience:

• 4+ years of work experience, with at least 2 years of experience in Maize cultivation
• Commercial farming management experience
• Experience in irrigation management
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Good hands-on computer skills using (using Ms-Excel and Word)
• Other Skills / competences: Agricultural Extension Services

Availability: Immediate – 4 weeks
Remunerations:

• Full Medical Cover (HMO)
• Group accident Insurance
• Harvest Target Bonus/ Incentive: N 500,000

Salary Range: N 2,400,000 – N 3,000,000
