Agricultural Science Teacher (Secondary) at TAAS College

Job Summary

• We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Agricultural Science Teacher to educate students on the principles of agriculture, food production, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
• The ideal candidate will blend theory with hands-on activities and real-world applications.

Responsibilities

• Teach Agricultural Science using approved curriculum (WAEC/NECO)
• Demonstrate farming techniques, soil science, crop and animal production
• Facilitate field-based projects and school garden/farm management
• Engage students through practical experiences and agricultural experiments
• Monitor student progress and provide support as needed
• Prepare students for external exams and competitions
• Promote awareness of climate-smart agriculture and food security

Requirements 

• B.Sc./B.Ed. in Agricultural Science or related discipline
• 2+ years teaching experience at secondary level
• Practical experience in school or community farm projects
• Familiarity with WAEC/NECO Agricultural Science syllabus
• Excellent instructional and communication skills.
