    Agile Product Owner, Healthcare Business Systems

    Job Overview:

    • As an Agile Product Owner, Healthcare Business Systems, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions while ensuring the successful delivery of software products using Agile methodologies.
    • You will collaborate with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and act as the voice of the customer to ensure that the developed solutions meet their needs and align with the organization's strategic goals.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their goals, needs, and challenges.
    • Elicit and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and use cases to capture the scope of work accurately.
    • Analyze and validate requirements for feasibility, completeness, and alignment with business objectives.
    • Evaluate existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Propose process enhancements and automation opportunities to optimize business operations.
    • Define and communicate a compelling product vision that aligns with the organization's goals and customer needs.
    • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and major milestones.
    • Create and prioritize the product backlog based on customer feedback, business value, and market trends.
    • Ensure that user stories and backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and properly refined for development.
    • Managing collaboration with both internal IT team and External IT Vendors to ensure delivery of the documented stories or requirements.
    • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams, acting as a bridge to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project progress.
    • Gather feedback, conduct user interviews, and conduct market research to inform product decisions.
    • Advocate for the end-users, ensuring that their needs and pain points are understood and addressed in the product's design and development.
    • Work with technical teams to design information systems, databases, and applications that meet business requirements.
    • Create comprehensive and well-structured documentation, including functional specifications, data flow diagrams, and system architecture, to effectively communicate system designs.
    • Develop and review test plans and test cases to validate that the system meets specified requirements and functions as intended.
    • Support Quality Assurance teams in system testing, defect identification, and resolution.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to business analysis and Agile methodologies.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst in the healthcare industry and a minimum of 2 years experience as an Agile Product Owner, demonstrating successful collaboration with business and technical teams.
    • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, with experience in Scrum frameworks.
    • In-depth knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), demonstrated by a successful track record of leading Agile development teams, driving iterative product development, and consistently delivering successful products.
    • Ability to take ownership of the product vision, prioritize features, and maintain a well-groomed product backlog.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions based on customer feedback and business value.
    • A focus on user needs and a commitment to delivering valuable solutions that improve patient outcomes and user experiences.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex product challenges and identify innovative solutions.
    • Effective decision-making skills to resolve conflicts, make trade-offs, and keep the product development on track.
    • Knowledge of business process modeling tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, UML).
    • Understanding of healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and the ability to ensure product compliance with relevant standards will be an advantage.
    • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms used for backlog management.
    • Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
