    The Responsibilities & the Impact You Will Have
    Job Purpose:

    • This is an opportunity to use advanced analytics to support the launch of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine and future GPH Vaccine portfolio, to make substantial public health impact in vulnerable and underserved populations.
    • This role will support all analytics tied to vaccines across the African continent for GPH, working closely with the Global Lead, Data Strategy and Analytics, as well as other analysts across GPH.
    • This role will be a key member of the newly formed GPH Vaccines Program Management office, which will be responsible for planning and coordination with J&J Enterprise on allocation, delivery, and distribution of vaccines in resource limited settings, as well as predicting how global events will shape the demand of vaccines in Africa.
    • This role will report into the GPH Vaccines Global Planning Lead.

    The Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Position are:

    • The priority responsibility of this role is to provide strategic analytics support for the GPH Vaccines Program Management Office and GPH Vaccines organization, with a near-term focus on COVID-19. Identify and integrate multiple data streams to create a prescriptive global forecast across prioritized countries and populations. Identify potential vaccine deployment barriers to inform research and recommend optimizations to the global implementation plan.
    • Assemble a comprehensive view of the most relevant data sources available across the African continent. Explore vaccines data-related opportunity gaps and evaluate potential partnership opportunities with the most developed data management organizations in public health.

    Qualifications
    We'd love to hear from You, if you have:

    • Bachelor's Degree is required.
    • 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
    • We need someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience across a broad spectrum of analytics, from descriptive to prescriptive Required.
    • Solid grasp of advanced analytics methods: forecasting, segmentation, and visualization, including R or Python, SQL, and Tableau Required.
    • Developing understanding of business needs and then translating those needs into relevant solutions and standard methodologies Required.
    • Ability to manage complex projects, particularly in environments with ambiguity. A proven track record of encouraging collaboration, building confidence, and translating knowledge into persuasive, easy-to-follow communications Required.
    • Experience gathering, cleaning, and warehousing data Required.
    • Knowledge of epidemiology and public health data sources Preferred.
    • This position may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel post-COVID.
