Admissions Officer at Miva Open University

OVERALL FUNCTION

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting prospective students throughout the admissions journey — from initial inquiry to enrolment — while ensuring a seamless and positive experience that reflects Miva’s mission and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide prospective students through the admissions process with professionalism and empathy.
• Review and verify application documents in line with university admission requirements.
• Maintain accurate applicant records and ensure timely updates across systems.
• Collaborate with the marketing and student engagement teams to drive conversions from leads to enrolled students.
• Communicate programme information clearly and persuasively to prospective learners.
• Support virtual and in-person events designed to attract and onboard new students.
• Provide periodic reports on admissions metrics, trends, and applicant feedback.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in student admissions, customer service, or educational administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and virtual communication platforms.
