    Admissions Advisor (West Africa)

    Based alongside Keele University’s Nigeria Country Manager and Student Recruitment Officer in Lagos, the post-holder will work closely with the Admissions Team to process applications predominantly from the West Africa market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Check applications to Keele University for eligibility, document veracity, and quality in preparation for admissions decisions by the University.
    • Advise applicants regarding admissions requirements, eligibility for admission, program options, residency requirements, and other matters related to their admission to Keele University
    • Keep informed regarding academic program requirements, enrolment restrictions, and other issues related to recruiting and admitting students.
    • Access emails from the students and agents and keep them posted about university updates and admission-related matters.
    • Conduct informational meetings and programs to explain admission requirements policies and procedures.
    • May assist with evaluating courses offered by other schools to determine their equivalency to courses offered at the University.
    • Ensure that correct procedures are followed when dealing with fraudulent applications, applicants with criminal convictions, and underage applicants.
    • Perform such other duties temporarily or continuingly, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the role.

    Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience of working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
    • Strong current IT skills
    • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English
    • Enthusiastic, committed, and proactive
    • Ability to work under own initiative and self-motivation.
    • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
    • Flexible and able to cope with competing demands.
    • High level of English language ability

    Desirables:

    • Experience of student recruitment, student marketing, outreach, or admissions in a higher education setting.
    • Graduate of UK university.
    • Knowledge of International qualifications and education systems
