    Administrative Assistant - Employee of Mission - All/or USEFMs, EFMs or MOHs

    Duties

    The incumbent serves as the primary office manager for the local employed staff assigned to the Regional Security Office. Incumbent is responsible for creation and maintenance of individual security files for all non-US personnel to whom an Embassy identification badge has been issued, scheduling interviews, and creation of identification badges for private domestic employees (when authorized by the RSO), preparation of time and attendance reports for the Regional Security Office, preparation of travel authorizations, travel vouchers and eCC for RSO personnel, initiation of procurement requests, and preparation of authorizations for police stipend payments for Nigerian police personnel seconded to the Embassy. Performs personnel background, accident, criminal and other investigations as directed by the Deputy Regional Security Officer or Senior RSO, under the oversight of the Senior FSNI. Prepares written reports of investigation and investigative case summaries. Assists the Regional Security Office in liaison with host nation security counterparts. Acts as the RSO Class B Sub-Cashier and arranges office supplies for RSO FSNs. 

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Requirements:

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of (5) five years progressive experience in general administrative duties including investigative experience is required
    • Good working knowledge of general office administration and related procedures, investigative techniques, police procedures, criminal behavior, and technical report writing pertaining to investigative casework is required.
    • Good working knowledge of documentary sources, information, and familiarity with pertinent Nigerian and U.S. laws is required.
    • Good working knowledge of the structure and functions of Nigerian national-level security agencies is required.

    Education Requirements:

    • University Degree in Political Science, Secretarial Studies, Business studies or Security studies is required.
    • NYSC Certificate or Exemption document is required.

    Evaluations:

    • This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.

    LANGUAGE:  

    • Fluent speaking/reading/writing of English is required.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES : 

    • Highly developed organizational skills that will contribute to an efficient office in a busy atmosphere, interpersonal skills that will facilitate personal interviews and meeting with host nation security counterparts and dependability to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision is required.
    • Computer proficiency is required.
