    Accounts & Tax Manager

    General Responsibility

    • This position exists to provide accounting and tax services for the company and for clients, including tax computations and periodical withholding tax, value added tax, and pay as you earn tax remittances and returns to the appropriate tax authorities.

    Activities

    • Prepare monthly budget, trial balance, comparative financial statement, and bank reconciliation statements for clients and for Beckley
    • Liaise with clients regularly to obtain records and information required to prepare a monthly budget, trial balance, financial statements and bank reconciliation statement
    • Training and development of training materials in basic accounting and taxation at seminars and clients’ locations
    • Visit clients occasionally to provide on-site accounting or tax services as may be required including data entries using accounting packages
    • Audit and preparation of accounts from incomplete records of clients
    • Ensure timely monthly remittance and returns to the relevant tax authorities in respect of withholding tax, VAT, PAYE tax and other statutory payments for clients and Beckley
    • Company income tax computations including capital allowances and deferred tax
    • Establish good relationships and contacts with all tax offices where we make returns on behalf of clients for effective follow-up
    • Keep and maintain an updated file in soft copy of the latest developments, regulations and laws about tax and other payments that may affect our clients or us
    • Collaborate with Clients Services Manager to work with business plan clients, including preparation of reasonable financial and cost estimates
    • Any other duties assigned to you by your supervisor/management

    • Evidence of PAYE Tax, WHT and VAT remittance and returns monthly
    • Updated soft copy file of developments in highlighting tax additions quarterly

    Qualification / Experience

    • First Degree in Accounting / Professional Accounting qualifications
    • At least 2 years work experience.
    • Experience in tax practice and small business accounting
    • Communication and excellent interpersonal skills.

    Salary

    • N180,000 Monthly Gross
    • HMO
    • 13th Month
    • Leave Allowance
