Accounts Officer at LS Scientific

Responsibilities

• Daily Transaction Management: Post daily financial transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
• Credit Limit Updates: Ensure timely and accurate posting of customer credit limits on Odoo.
• Product Pricing Management: Review and update product pricing on Odoo.
• Document Management: Handle data entry, sorting, and filing of customer invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, and other statutory documents as required.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in tracking and capturing VAT input for VAT returns and facilitate WHT filing.
• Reconciliation: Promptly reconcile administrative-related transactions.
• Liability Reporting: Generate and submit monthly reports on statutory obligations and vendor liabilities.
• Expense Monitoring: Assist in tracking, monitoring, and evaluating company expenses.
• Financial Accuracy: Update daily bills and financial records while cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements.
• Tax Filings: Complete company tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• An HND / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Odoo.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial records and sensitive information.
• Ability to pay keen attention to detail and ensure accuracy.
• Adaptability to changing work priorities and a dynamic environment.
