We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Officer to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring timely reporting to support effective decision-making across the organization.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations.
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in line with financial policies and procedures.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements and monitor cash flow movements.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing necessary data and analysis.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings and regulatory documentation.
Track receivables and payables, follow up on outstanding payments, and ensure timely settlements.
Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for all finance-related records.
Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and auditors for finance-related matters.
Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal controls and accounting processes.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2 – 3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles and independently handling Accounts payables and receivables.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, SAP, or similar).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
