Key Responsibilities

• Oversight functions for the accounts / administrative / procurement / production / inventory sections and reporting directly to the Managing Director.
• The accounts manager will be responsible for all aspects of the financial records, including regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures for the Company.

Qualifications & other Requirements

• Accounting Degree or equivalent
• ACCA/ACA certification
• Between the ages of 30 - 40 years
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Knowledge of Costing and Management Accounting
• 6 - 10 years minimum experience with at least 4 years in the manufacturing sector

Key Competencies:

• Proven and verifiable work experience as a cost / management accountant
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of costing principles and procedures
• Experience with preparing financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software use and administrative skills

Job Classification for Accounts Manager
Factory Related Duties:

Raw Materials General Weekly/Monthly Report On:

• Material requisition in the factory. Liaise with Production Manager or Store Keeper for this purpose
• Usage analysis-Schedule of materials consumed and finished goods stocking in the factory
• Waste of material reporting
• Updates of Suppliers' outstanding/payments schedule

Production Profitability Reports:

• Determination of production value
• Determination of production cost
• Weekly/monthly performance evaluation reports
• Reconciliation of production output with stock record at both the Factory and Head Office

Sales Related Duties:

• Sales Rep's accounts showing daily sales, payment/outstanding
• Debtors record updates, age analysis
• Weekly/monthly turnover
• Stock and sales reconciliation reports

Wages and Salary

• Weekly/monthly attendance reports-Ascertaining the appropriateness of Labour hour/rate
• Computation/payment of wages and salary
• Computation of bonus based on increased level of productivity

Management of Fixed Asset:

• Listing of Company Fixed Asset
• Updating of Fixed Asset Records
• Calculation of depreciation

Others:

• As may be specified by the Management
