Accounting Officer - Ondo at Edgewood Consulting

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our team on a 6-month contract.
• The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, be computer literate, and proficient in using simple accounting tools.
• The candidate should be smart, proactive, and able to resume immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and verify account balances.
• Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Process and reconcile general ledger entries.
• Manage petty cash and ensure appropriate documentation.
• Provide assistance in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and reports as required by management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be smart, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must be available to resume immediately.
