    Accounting Intern(NYSC)

    The NYSC Corps Member will support the Accounting Department in various financial operations. The individual will assist in managing financial records, bookkeeping, and ensuring accurate reporting of the company’s financial activities. This role is suitable for someone eager to gain practical experience in accounting within a real estate firm.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    • Assist in Inputting daily transactions into the accounting software.
    • Help with maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.
    • Assist in reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in cash management records.
    • Help in the preparation of financial reports such as profit & loss, balance sheets, and other statements as needed.
    • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Assist in tracking and recording company inventory for accounting purposes.
    • Support in cost tracking and reconciliation for materials.
    • Assist in processing and reconciling employee expense reports.
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with company spending policies.
    • Assist in preparing tax documents and other regulatory filings.
    • Help ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax forms.
    • Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger.
    • Support in preparing and adjusting journal entries.
    • Assist in providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
    • Assist in managing physical and digital files of financial documents.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.
    • Basic knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
    • Must be a current NYSC corps member.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
