Accountant at Voedsel Capital Limited

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per accounting standards.
• ⁠Post daily transactions to the general ledger using QuickBooks.
• Create cash flow projections and performance budgets.
• Manage payroll processing, electronic deposits, and employee
• pay adjustments.
• Compute and fill PAYE, pension, and NHF returns monthly.
• Handle accounts payable and ensured timely payments.
• Coordinate audits and provided supporting documents for external auditors.
• Liaise with auditors and tax officials to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Lead accounting teams and oversee task execution.
• Analyze financial data, compare results to budgets, and explain variances to senior management.
• Process bank reconciliations and resolved discrepancies.
• ⁠Disburse, monitor, and maintain petty cash expenses.
• ⁠Monitor expenditures and manage administrative budgets.
• ⁠Handle office supplies and equipment management. 
• ⁠Plan and execute administrative projects, reporting on outcomes and performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-5 years work experience as a Core Accountant.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
• Additional certification (ACA or ACCA) is a plus.
• Maximum of 28 years of age.
• Salary range 200,000 to 250,000
