Job Responsibilities

• To maintain sound accounting practices and internal control mechanisms that ensure that the company’s financial goals are met.
• Assist with the formulation of financial strategies and plans for funding the company’s projects and operations.
• Foster strategic relationships with key financial institutions to ensure quick and favourable treatment of the company’s financial transactions.
• Assist with the development and implementation of cost management strategies to monitor and compare prices/cut costs in the company’s business activities.
• Recommend investment strategies that will ensure high returns on investment while assuring liquidity for operational cash flow for the business.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for all finance reports and activities.

Job Specification

• Minimum of a first degree in Accounting or any business-related course.
• A professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACA, or ACCA is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the finance function of a trading company and in a managerial/supervisory position.
• Experience in preparing and interpreting financial statements for internal and external use. Hands-on experience, a self-starter able to work with little or no supervision.
• An entrepreneurial mindset is critical for this role. Attention to detail.
