Accountant at Sylvastar Group

Job Summary

• Sylvastar Group is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, accounting operations, reporting, and financial compliance across the Group.
• The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and monitor invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, ledgers, and other financial accounts.
• Monitor company income, expenses, cash flow, and outstanding payments.
• Assist with preparation and monitoring of departmental and company budgets.
• Process payroll-related accounting entries and deductions in collaboration with HR.
• Track staff advances, loans, deductions, and other financial obligations.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for Management.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
• Monitor and maintain the company’s accounting records across its various business units.
• Assist with tax computations, statutory deductions, remittances, and other regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure transactions are properly authorized and supported with relevant documentation.
• Provide financial information and analysis to Management to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Remuneration
