Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage the financial operations of our production company. The successful candidate will oversee cost accounting, production budgeting, inventory control, and financial reporting to ensure accurate tracking of production expenses and overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Monitor cash flow and manage company banking transactions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Assist in external and internal audits
• Monitor and control production costs (materials, labor, overhead)
• Perform cost analysis and variance analysis for production activities
• Maintain and reconcile inventory records (raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods)
• Conduct stock counts and inventory audits
• Prepare production budgets and forecasts
• Analyze production efficiency and recommend cost-saving measures
• Track capital expenditures related to machinery and equipment
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax as applicable)
• Ensure proper documentation of production and financial transactions
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2–5 years of accounting experience (experience in manufacturing/production preferred)
• Professional certification (ACCA, ICAN) is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulation
