Reports to: Senior Accountant, Managing Director, and CEO

Role Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all financial activities. This role involves tracking trades (Crypto & Gift cards), performing daily reconciliations, managing non-current assets, and preparing financial statements. The Accountant will also oversee payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting while providing insights to support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Track all trades across board (Crypto & Gift cards).
• Ensure all bank and trade reconciliations are carried out daily.
• Update and manage all non-current assets.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements.
• Prepare weekly managerial reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger).
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, including timely filing of tax returns and remittance of payments.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
• Manage payroll and other disbursements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certification such as ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage).
• Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
