Job Overview

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations, manage budget tracking, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, excellent proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to deliver accurate financial reporting to support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Payroll & Expense Management: Oversee monthly payroll processing, monitor staff expenses, and handle vendor payments efficiently.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file timely tax returns (including VAT, WHT, and PAYE) in strict accordance with relevant regulatory laws.
• Reconciliation: Perform routine bank, inventory, and ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and analyze variances to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Professional Certification: Professional qualification in Accounting is highly preferred (or currently in view).
• Experience: Minimum of [3–5] years of proven experience working as an Accountant or Financial Officer.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, high ethical standards, and excellent analytical skills.
