Accountant at Events Architects Ltd.

Events Architects Ltd is a creative-led, design, production and experience-driven events + brand activation agency based in Nigeria. We help companies communicate, motivate, engage and express their brand personality. We also create stunning engaging Corporate, Brand and Entertainment events.

Responsibilities

• Review of financial requirements on business requests for the accounting design and required reports applicable to the operating systems and data feeding into corporate accounting systems.
• Manage internal controls and processes for system financial data audits and validation inquiries.  
• Work within the scope of the department’s policies, processes and procedures to analyze and ensure all financial transactions are accurately captured.
• To ensure that both new and existing financial features, transactions, reports on the system are properly utilized.
• Continuously monitor and manage improvement of financial features and reports.
• Review of financial and accounting requirements on new business products, set up the accounting design and required reports applicable to the operating systems as well as data feeding into corporate accounting systems.
• Prepare and submit all statutory remittances and report to ensure compliance.
• Recommend and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing the finance department's overall performance.
• Conduct daily reconciliations of collection or pool bank accounts to financial records, and perform ad-hoc and regular accounting exercises on financials.
• Manage internal controls and processes for system financial data audits and validation inquiries.
• Continuously monitor and manage improvement of financial features and reports.
• Any other duties assigned by HOD as per need.

Requirements

• Must reside in areas close to Lagos Island.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Banking & Finance.
• Professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 4-5 years working experience.
• Demonstrate good combined knowledge of accounting and finance practices, and information technology.
• Must possess intermediate to advanced Excel skills, QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Must be able to work under pressure, deliver work in accordance with agreed timelines and respond effectively to requests for financial information/reports by other stakeholders including the finance department, marketing team and the business leaders.
• Ability to communicate complex issues logically with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
