PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure regular monitoring of all operations tensure compliance with approved efficiency targets viz; output levels, Labour utilization, overhead, material loss levels etc
• Ensure daily and monthly monitoring and reconciliation of all fund’s operations viz; receipts vs banking, petty cash, monthly bank reconciliations etc tensure zercash/stock loss.
• Ensure that all statutory payments like Taxes, VAT and WHT due tGovernment are remitted as and when due along with all statutory reports tavoid infractions.
• Ensure error free and timely remittances of staff’s payroll while working with the Finance Lead
• Routinely assist with the preparation of the management reports (Quarterly, Bi- Annually & Annually) on state of the business highlighting areas of strength and weaknesses and advising on how tgrow market share and business profitability
• Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards/principles and provisions.
• Identify areas of improvements/changes and recommend new accounting processes and improvements texisting accounting systems for approval.

COMPETENCY AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• HND/B.SC Accounting or its related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar capacity working with related industry
• Sound knowledge of SAGE accounting software
• ACA or other professional qualifications (CIMA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Articulate and literate with high levels of communication skill including fluent, accurate writing
• Organizational, Time – management & attention tdetail
• Knowledgeable in the following key areas:

• Financial analysis and interpretation
• Tax management
• Risk identification & management
• Cost accounting techniques
