Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant at AJEC Schools, located in Kaduna.
• The Accountant will manage and maintain financial records, prepare financial reports, and oversee budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, reconciling bank statements, and preparing payroll.
• The Accountant will also assist in financial audits and recommend process improvements to enhance organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and preparation of budgets
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and payroll management
• Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance, and audit preparation
• Experience with accounting software and financial tools
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school setting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g. ICAN) is a plu
