Accountant

Ades Ventures Nigeria Limited is looking for a full-time Accountant to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct budgets, financial planning and forecasting.
• Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports and presenting findings to the board.
• Oversee transactional tasks and help make good financial decisions.
• Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
• Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
• Carrying out business modelling and risk assessment
• Overseeing invoicing and accounts receivables
• Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
• Compliance returns
• Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
• Monthly reconciliation of bank, suppliers, customer ledgers and intercompany accounts: to ensure all accounts are accurate.
• Oversee departmental cost analysis.
• Advise on tax and treasury issues.
• Participate in inventory process and ad hoc finance work requirements.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of (8) years working experience in finance and accounts (preferably retail industry)
• Experience in using accounting software such as Sage 200.

Educational and Professional Requirements:

• Professional Qualification ACCA desirable
• BSc or HND in Accounting
• MBA would be an added advantage
