Maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (payments, receipts, invoices, expenses)
Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and periodic reports.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements.
Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in filing statutory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger and supporting schedules.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
Monitor and control petty cash and bank transactions.
Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, controls, and procedures.
Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders on finance-related matters.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BSc/HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)
Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Understanding of tax regulations (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and statutory compliance
Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage
Proximity to Surulere or its environs is an added advantage.
