Job Description

• A reputable and fast-growing company in Lagos, seeks to hire an experienced "Account Officer" who will be responsible for preparing and handling all the company's financial transaction, reports, analyze actual financial data, and oversee other accounting activities.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Assisting with research, filing, data entry, recording, and maintaining accurate complete financial records.
• Preparing financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.
• Handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and honesty
• Ensure proper bookkeeping records
• Monitor any discrepancies in payment and record any returns
• Speak to vendors about payments and refunds.
• Track all payments made for tax preparation and follow up on returns.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Cross-check accurate posting& completeness of pay slips and invoices.
• Coordinate Tax remittances and timely collection of all clearance certificates.

Qualification / Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Degree in Accounting or related field with 1-3 years experience
• Knowledge of Accounting practices
• Ability to Prepare Financial Statements and Analyze Data.
• Proficient with the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel)/data entry.
• Numeracy skills.
• Professional Certification in ICAN,ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Not more than 30 years old at the time of application.
