Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi (Factory)

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Manager to oversee the financial operations at our Ajaokuta factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, audit compliance, and ERP systems, specifically within the building materials or natural stones industry.

Key Responsibilities

• ERP & Accounting Systems: Utilize ERP accounting systems (experience with Orion is highly preferred) to manage financial data and reporting.
• Collections & Payments: Oversee the collection and payment processes, ensuring accurate accounting and timely reconciliation.
• Financial Analysis: Apply strong analytical skill sets to analyze expenses and prepare detailed financial reports.
• Audit Engagement: Engage with internal and external auditors to resolve audit queries across all financial functions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of local financial laws and ensure full compliance.
• Process Improvement: Continuously work towards improving productivity and digitization to streamline financial processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with the group office and other departments as required to fulfill financial responsibilities.
• SOP Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Reporting: Prepare schedules, weekly reports, and monthly reports as directed by the Finance Head.
• Team Management: Provide leadership and management to the finance team.

Requirement

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Certification: ICAN certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of total experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Industry Background: Preferred experience in the Building Materials industry, specifically within a Tiles company or natural stones company (e.g., granite).
• Age: 30 – 40 years old.

Technical Skills:

• Critical: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of analytical and accounting standards.
• Language: Proficiency in English.
