    Account / Inventory Officer

    Location: Okota, Lagos
    Employment Type: Full-time

    Job Summary

    • The Account / Inventory Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of Troop Pharmaceuticals’ financial and stock transactions.
    • This role bridges finance and operations, maintaining the integrity of all product movement — from purchase to sales — while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities
    Accounting Duties:

    • Record daily financial transactions including purchases, sales, expenses, and payments in accounting software.
    • Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and accounts payable/receivable.
    • Prepare monthly financial summaries, reports, and stock valuation for management review.
    • Ensure accuracy in invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
    • Support external audits and provide necessary documentation when required.
    • Assist in tracking and processing staff reimbursements and supplier payments.

    Inventory Management:

    • Monitor stock levels across branches and warehouses using the inventory management system.
    • Track movement of productsbetween locations.
    • Conduct regular stock counts (weekly/monthly) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
    • Identify and report stock variances, damages, or expiries immediately.
    • Liaise with procurement and sales teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
    • Ensure all stock is well-documented with accurate batch numbers, quantities, and expiry dates.

    Reporting & Analysis:

    • Generate daily and weekly reports on sales, inventory, and cash flow.
    • Provide cost and margin analysis on products to support pricing and purchasing decisions.
    • Track product performance and help forecast inventory needs based on sales trends.

    Compliance & Controls:

    • Ensure adherence to internal control systems for financial and inventory transactions.
    • Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
    • Ensure accuracy of documentation for deliveries, transfers, and returns.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in accounting and inventory management (preferably in a retail, pharmaceutical, or FMCG setting).
    • Excellent knowledge of Excel and data reporting tools.
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
    • Integrity, reliability, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
