JOB SUMMARY

A reputable organization in the Oil & Gas sector requires suitable candidates for this position. The account assistant must understand basic bookkeeping and accounting and provide strong administrative support to theaccountants.

• Minimum Qualification: Ordinary National Diploma
• Experience Level: Entry level
• Experience Length: 1-2 years

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Petty cash management- Ensuring that all petty cash payments are done using the approved card system, ascertaining the validity of claims, and posting of petty cash transactions for all retail outlets.
• Analysis of expense reports, and assignment of payments to the appropriate cost centre.
• Posting of all transactions on the ERP software, under supervision.
• Processing of organizational expense requests for management approval.
• Handling communication with colleagues, and responding to queries
• Responsible for monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Accounts payable and receivable management
• Invoice processing and filing of documents.
• Preparation of reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• OND/NCE in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Good organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
