Job Details

1. Assigns access rights based on established protocol; configures schedules, holidays, time codes; alarm routing; and other functions. Trains others as needed.
2. Assists in identifying and resolving issues with access control software by working with vendors and internal departments to update and troubleshoot software, and escalates issues as needed.
3. Identifies issues and responds to outages, equipment failures, breakages, etc. Works with PCC staff and vendors to determine and implement solutions.
4. Processes requests for card access and modifications; monitors, tracks, and evaluates card access activity system wide.
5. Serves as the Public Safety liaison for Access Control issues and coordinates with other PCC department staff on access control issues, including IT, Facilities, and Planning and Capital Construction.
6. Facilitates collaborative efforts to develop appropriate processes; coordinates Access Control projects with the Bond and other departments.
7. Assists in policy and procedure development related to Access Control; performs research on best practices and stays current on related regulations.
8. Performs evaluations and makes recommendations on installation of access control devices, cameras, and other hardware and the implementation of corresponding policies and procedures.
9. Produces reports and investigates after hours alarms and issues as assigned.
10. Assists in the development of emergency response protocols as it relates to access control.
