Academy Teacher at Solynta Academy

About the Role

• The Solynta Academy Teacher is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Solynta Academy school, ensuring that students have a safe, organised and positive learning environment.
• The teacher will oversee students learning via our online platform,facilities and parent communication, while ensuring that the Academy’s daily programme runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Centre Operations:

• Manage the day-to-day running of the school
• Ensure classes, breaks and after-school activities run according to schedule.
• Ensure the school is clean, organised and ready for learning each day.
• Monitor power, internet, computers and other equipment.

Student Management:

• Ensure students are safe, well supervised and properly supported.
• Maintain a calm, respectful and disciplined learning environment.
• Monitor student attendance, behaviour and general wellbeing.
• Ensure students are actively participating in their learning.

Parent Communication:

• Serve as the main point of contact for parents at the centre.
• Respond to parent questions and concerns promptly.
• Provide regular updates on student progress and centre activities.
• Build positive relationships with parents and families.

Student Progress:

• Identify students who may need additional support.
• Ensure students are progressing appropriately through their learning.
• Support the successful delivery of academic and technology projects.

Enrolment & Centre Growth:

• Welcome prospective parents and students to the school
• Conduct school tours and explain the Solynta Academy experience.
• Support student onboarding and enrolment.
• Represent Solynta Academy positively within the local community.

What We Are Looking For

• 3–5 years’ experience in teaching
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers, digital learning platforms and AI tools.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and take initiative.
• Experience managing teachers or a team is an advantage.
• Applicant must reside on Lagos Island.
