HSE Manager at Proforce Limited

Details:

An Automobile Manufacturing plant currently seek to recruit an experienced individual with a history of successful performance to function as HSE Manager in our plant in Ogun State.
 
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following;

• Support management in HSE policy formulation.
• Identify workplace hazards and proffer appropriate mitigation of risks in the organization.
• Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the company HSE systems.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environmental System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in legislation and company directives.
• Motivates company personnel to comply with company system procedures and effectively use all safety equipment provided.
• Assists the Business Development, Production and Aftersales Department in their dealings with clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
• Conducts both internal and external safety audits.
• Participate in accident and near-miss investigations and ensure prompt reporting of accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions as well as their analysis.
• Ensure contractors are managed in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
• Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
• Carries out in-house safety training.

Qualification /Experience;

• Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Science / Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems.
• Seven (7) years’ cognate experience in Health, Safety and Environment with minimum of two (2) years in management position.
• Relevant training and certification (any of NEBOSH, OSHAS 18000, ISO 14001, ISPON, IOSH, IIRSM, etc.)
