Liase with project stakeholders to ensure business needs are catered for during the scoping, planning, execution and close-out of projects.
Manages the site project team, issue all relevant documentation and amendments.
Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
Engages Project Team and functional resources to verify that the design & construction is consistent with project specifications & standards
Serves as interface between Project Team & Contractor
Manages projects using engineering principles and techniques.
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- equipment and system capabilities; confirming assembly, and installation processes.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services
Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, apply knowledge of electricity and materials.
Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties as required.
Consult with various stakeholders including engineers, customers, management etc. on electrical engineering projects and product.
Prepare and present engineering solutions for prospective projects
Project manage various Electrical and power installations
Operate computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering task eg Auto card.
Oversee, Inspect and assess completed installations, to ensure adherence to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Prepare documentation and support pre-sale activities, design and responses
Drive health and safety compliance in line with Electrical and Power systems standards
Keep abreast of developments within the profession and the Solar Industry
Manage staff and present reports to the Company's leadership team
Any other jobs as may be assigned by the HOD
Job Requirement and skills
Minimum of 7-15 years post qualification/ (NYSC) experience in Electrical and power systems installations and project Management.
BSc Electrical & Electronics Engineering or other relevant degree, COREN membership.
MUST be willing to travel/relocate as required by the company
Experience of undertaking complex Electrical and power systems Audit
Ability to design, install and maintain High Tension, Low tension lines and sub-stations, Panels: HT, LT, Capacitor Panels, Control panels etc., installation of high capacity generators and transformers
Very strong understanding of LV, MV and HV installations - (Generation/Transmission and Distribution)
