Details: Role Profile

• Ensure and follow standard operating procedures during all  times while on duty.
• Monitor all parameters pertaining to waste water (Ph., TDS  etc.) and effluent disposal to conform to KASEPA/ NESREA  limits.
•  Ensure proper dosing schedules for the ETP Plant is adhered  to in order to conform to NESREA/ KASEPA standards of  effluent.
• Make timely, accurate and cost effective decisions  pertaining to all matters concerning the ETP.
• Make inventory of all ETP chemicals and be in charge of ETP  stores.
• Maintain the effluent treatment plant systems in order to  ensure conform to KASEPA/ NESREA limits.
• Inspect, service and repair components of the effluent  treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, storage  vessels, chemical equipment controls, circulation pumps,  valves, filtration units, contractors, controls, reactors,  dosing pumps, flow meters
• Inspect the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to  ensure effective operation and prepare work orders for  servicing and major repairs
• Ensure that all chemical stock is stored securely and  safely
• Maintain inventories and advise when stocks reaches reorder  level
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Maintain the general administration of the ETP in order to  ensure effective operations and keep log of the activities  and Effluent parameters on a daily basis
• Perform sampling and testing of Effluent samples as per  guidelines issued in addition to keeping and submitting records.
• Fill requisition for the required spares.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Maintenance Supervisor /Plant Manager
• work with the HSE and Quality as per regulatory visits and  inspection
• Knowledge in chemicals.
• Knowledge in analytical equipment.

Job Requirements (Qualification & Skills)

•  M.sc/B.sc applied Chemistry
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills;
•  Strong team working skills, with an ability to  motivate others and to lead or manage teams and  projects
•  A high level of attention to micro details;
•  An understanding of, and ability to work with, high- level computer technology.
•  Process & Procedure Implementation Skills.
•  Computer literacy and IT Skills.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication Experience
•  Relevant work experience up to 5-10 years in agro  processing industry.
•  In depth Knowledge & Experience in ETP/WTP/  RO/DMPLANT/STP.
•  Ability to work extended shift hours.For this role, the successful candidate must be quick to learn and be a team player, as he will be expected to participate and contribute to the overall success of the team
