Mechanical Engineer (Parboiling In-charge) at WACOT Limited

Details: Role Profile

• Independently handle complete shift operation.
• Ensure the drying operation of the Paddy at the acceptable level before milling.Ensure minimal loss of Paddy in Cleaning, Parboiling and drying process. To ensure no loss of paddy grains in waste  water
• Monitor the temperature of hot air and the moisture of paddy at regular intervals.
• Carry out all the planned maintenance activity of the drying plant.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower at the Parboiling and  Drying activity.
• Ensure early completion of breakdown in the dryer plant so  as to avoid the production loss.
• Ensure pr-steaming; soaking; final steaming and drying done as per the SOPs.
• Ensure cleanliness at the Parboiling plant and adjoining  areas.
• Plug the steam and water leakage point if any in the steam  line at the dryer section.
• Ensure safety of operations in operating the plant and  during maintenance works.
• Coordinate with Boiler control for proper utilization of  steam and better recovery of condensate.
• Ensure that the output is produced as per quality norms.
• Observes cleaning; parboiling and drying processes, feels product, and adjusts machinery to ensure product is processed in accordance with specifications.

Job Requirements (Qualification & Skills)

• B. Eng. Or HND (Mechanical Engineering) Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong team working skills, with an ability to motivate others and to lead or manage teams and projects;
• A high level of attention to detail;
• An understanding of, and ability to work with, average-level computer technology.
• Process & Procedure Implementation Skills.

Experience

• Relevant work experience up to 3-5 years in aggro-processing industry.
• Experience in PLC based plant will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work extended hours.
