Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the commercial director in developing a commercial strategy
• Oversee all commercial operations
• Actively seek out opportunities to grow the business through partnerships and new initiatives
• Improve corporate performance through commercial and sales analyses
• Resolve all issues regarding commercial operations and contracts
• Manage stakeholder communications and work with contract managers
• Conduct periodic analysis and manage all commercial risks.
• Coach commercial officers on best practices for managing contract issues and handling daily issues and tasks
• Any other commercial operations related duties

Qualification and Experience

• Good University Degree
• Min. of 9 - 11 years cognate work experience; 3 of which must have been at senior management level
• Professional qualification e.g. CIM, NIMN, MBA, MSc Marketing etc. are an added advantage
• Advanced knowledge of negotiation strategies, business development, and sales and marketing strategy.
• Working Knowledge of port and shipping industry is of critical advantage
