    Electrical OJT/Assessor

    Description:

    Qualified candidates should have the following

    • B. Eng. /HND  Electrical or Electrical/Electronic in any tertiary institution
    • A training qualification in competency assessment or equivalent is desirable.

    Technical/Business: 

    • Minimum 5 years in the Oil and Gas Industry onshore off shore, 3 years in industry as an Electrical Technician
    • Identify learning and development gaps and liaise with the supervisors, maintenance coordinator and Training Coordinator for interventions. 
    • Sound knowledge of IT skills including Microsoft Office suite
    • Formally record all Electricals’ progress in their individual portfolios tracking their progress.

    Interpersonal Skills and Competencies

    • High level of oral and written communication skills
    • Proven organizational skills in a training environment and ability to work as part of  a team
    • Must have a full understanding of industry best practices for sage systems of work.
    • A thorough understanding of all technical aspects of Electrical engineering to a known international standard. Including the ability to read complex Electrical drawings.
    • Ability to develop and deliver course training materials.
    • Effectively deliver safety training and competency assessment in the workplace.

    Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    • Compliance to HSE standards with no Omni Safe issues arising from OJT and coaching activities.
    • Competent to develop and conduct both practical and classroom training.
    • Assess, train and develop Electrical Technicians working within the NLNG maintenance team to the required standards dictated by NLNG procedures and work instructions and through on job training, coaching assessment and feedback. Accountable to the IMSC Manager through the Training Coordinator.
    • Competent to assess all Electricals and evaluate and record outcomes
    • Maintain technical skills to the required level of competence complying with maintenance procedures and work instructions.
