Assistant Teacher/Administrative Assistant at BridgeHall Academy

Seeking an efficient, warm and friendly administrative assistant/ assistant teacher to join a passionate team who truly cares for one another and early childhood education.

You will be expected to:

• assist the lead Directress to create and deliver lesson plans, and assess developmental needs of students
• Inspire a love of reading through your passion for engaging in story telling
• Organize and manage circle time
• Manage arrival and dismissal of children
• Creatively decorate and design classroom and school environment 
• Encourage self help skills with children
• Develop curriculum that brings creative ideas to life 
• Supervise children on the playground
• Answer phone calls providing general information, responding to parent enquiries and requests
• Create documents and class materials
• And other administrative/assistant duties

What we are looking for:

• At least 2 years experience in a preschool
• Must have experience with age group 3-6 year olds
• Must have either Montessori training or experience working in a Montessori environment
• Jolly phonics training is a plus
• Passion for child care and making a difference
• Strong computer skills
• Good written communication skills
• Organizational ability, sound judgment, great oral communication skills
• Emotional maturity
• Ability to multi task
• Flexibility regarding work hours and patience
