Job Description

We are looking for an experienced credit risk officer with background in either accounting/ finance or other related field, to facilitate consumer credit lending to our customers by assessing creditworthiness and processing relevant data.

Risk officer must be able to provide analysis and evaluation to reduce credit risk, extracts data from a variety of sources to build simple / moderately complex financial models that predict and mitigate risk exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Create an integrated risk framework/model for consumer credit financing
• Integrate risk management priorities into the company's overall strategic planning.
• Determine the company's risk appetite and quantify the amount of risk the company should take on.
• Develop and monitor risk mitigation activities
• Decide upon the types and specifics of the various insurance policies that the organization should buy.
• Prepare balance sheets and develop financial models
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

Qualifications:

• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus

Candidate chief risk officer must have a minimum of HND/Bsc in finance or Accounting and must have worked for a financial institution as a risk officer for atleast 2 years.
