A Sage X3 support department specialist consultant’s main responsibility is to provide development support to Sage X3 Solution Providers on any issues relating to Sage X3 products both functional and technical.
To provide support on OEM vertical products and any third-party products that Sage SA distribute in Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate, support and advise on Sage X3 developments and customisations
Provides support to the functional consultants
Participate in product Beta testing and provide feedback
Provide development and technical support and consultation to Business Partners
Provide technical information on Sage X3 and Add-ons.
Draw up technical & infrastructure specifications for Sage X3 installations
Assisting Business Partners over the phone to resolve Sage X3 or Sage Add-ons development software issues..
Analyse and troubleshoot Sage X3 issues raised by Business Partners and resolve development problems, documenting ticket actions and resolutions.
Conducting development training courses on Sage X3
Applying, testing and maintaining Sage X3 patch levels
Building and maintaining of Sage X3 images
Testing of new software for bugs
Product demonstrations at workshops and conferences
Conduct development audits of Sage X3 installations before Go-Live
Classify, escalate and coordinate problem resolution
Continuously update technical knowledge and learn new products and feature sets
Document delivered solutions and update the knowledge database
Provide mentorship to junior consultants
Qualifications & Experience Required
Strong communicator
Sage X3 Development 2 years (advantageous)
Good knowledge of the Sage SAFE X3 development tool/4GL and Java; knowledge of .NET environments such as C# a positive
Sage X3 System Administration
Business and process Analysis
Java developments
Microsoft Server 2012 and higher
Browser technology
Microsoft SQL - writing stored procedures, views, and triggers.
