iOS Developer at 4Barz Technologies

(Full time onsite. Wuse2, Abuja)

We are looking for an iOS developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limit and will work with our mobile and creative development team to build the next generation mobile applications for our customers.

We create a diverse set of mobileapplication experiences for a range of iOS devices such as  phones, tablet, Apple TV and Apple Watch experience. Android experience is also a plus.

Your primary focus will be to support the IOS application development and integration with back-end services, implementation of app user interfaces and functionality. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, an understanding and commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

 Design and build applications for the iOS platform  Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications  Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features  Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs  Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization  Work on bug fixes and application performance improvements.  Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Skills:

• Proficient with Objective-C and SwiftExperience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Push Notifications, UIKit, Networking Frameworks e.t.c.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuningExperience with third-party libraries and APIsFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end servicesExperience with real time api’s a plus such as Parse, FirebaseKnowledge of UI/UX implementation using Xcode UI development tools.
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with toolsFamiliarity with cloud message APIs and push notificationsKnack for benchmarking and optimizationProficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, Mercurial or SVN}}
• Familiarity with continuous integrationSolid understanding of the full mobile development life cycleMotivated self starter with attention to detail.

Other Requirements:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectProven working experience in software developmentWorking experience in iOS development 2-5 yearsHave published one or more iOS apps in the app store
