    Operation Manager

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
    Our ideal Operation Manager will be expected to do the following:

    • Lead and manage a team of Outlet Managers and Production Supervisors, responsible for all aspects of day-to-day running of the restaurant outlets, and providing visibly strong leadership for the retail operations team.
    • Improve performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of retail operations.
    • Ensure consistent and reliable production and sales operations throughout the organization.
    • Work with the team to achieve daily sales targets, quality standards and other operational objectives set by the Company.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

    DUTIES

    • To uphold the reputation of the company by maintaining high personal standards and projecting a warm, friendly and welcoming attitude towards customers and staff.
    • Model, implement and instill in your team company values, policies, procedures and ethics.
    • Manage, coordinate and ensure reliability of all the day-to-day operational activities within the outlets.
    • Continuously improve the operational systems, processes, structures and policies in support of the organisation’s mission and long term objectives.
    • Play a significant role in long-term planning, business process improvement, management reporting, information management geared towards operational excellence.
    • Manage and work to budgets, maximise profits and achieve sales targets set.
    • Manage the facility and merchandise layout to ensure a clean, very organized, welcoming and visually appealing store outlook.
    • Responsible for adequate staffing of all outlets. Trains and coaches team members with required skills and product knowledge and ensures optimum employee performance and retention.
    • Identify in store training needs, identify performance deviations and other team issues within the stores and ensure timely resolution.
    • Manage employee performance by carrying out performance evaluations and appraisal to ensure adherence to standards of job performance and growth of the individuals within team.
    • To promote a fanatic customer care approach within the company. Investigate and resolves all customer complaints, timely and efficiently.
    • Carries out regular store visits and evaluates store compliance with company standard practices and procedures to ensure all stores are efficiently and effectively managed.
    • Ensure consistent product and service quality, compliance to SOPs and minimize wastage. Investigate and resolve product and service quality complaints.
    • Coordinate staff scheduling and job planning.
    • Ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulation and ensure keeping of proper records for regulators and inspectors.
    • Get comparative feedback of activities and prices from competitors.
    • Reviews sales reports, financial statements and inventory records to forecast optimal stock, reduce loss and maximize results for each outlet.
    • Monitor outlet KPI’s, prepare reports and other performance analysis documentation for management.
    • To carry out all other duties ancillary and incidental thereto as well as other duties assigned from time to time.

    If you have the following, they’ll be an advantage:

    • At least 3 years of work experience
    • Previous experience in a restaurant or fresh food sales setting
    • Previous management experience, especially if that experience is at a restaurant
    • Very strong operational skills
