    General Manager

    Our client is a leading indigenous Oil and Gas company. The company is currently engaged in downstream operations, which include importation of bulk petroleum products, mainly AGO & ATK (Aviation Turbine Kerosene).

    Responsibilities

    • The General Manager will principally be responsible for all the operations of the business
    • In charge of opening Letters of Credit with the Bank
    • The General Manager would ensure all documentations and standards are met (e.g. securing certificate of conformity where necessary)
    • He/she would be in charge of Logistics like engagement of vessels of required capacity
    • He/she would be responsible for the oversight of the clearing and discharging of products imported into the petroleum tank farm within the Lagos - Apapa axis.
    • The GM would observe the market, identify trends and monitor main competitors.
    • The GM would manage the bulk sale of the products stored in the tank farm.
    • The GM would ensure that activities are properly executed within the organization.
    • He/she will be responsible for managing all areas of operations to ensure revenues; profits and return on investment are maximized.
    • The GM would accomplish organisational objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements
    • The GM would allocate resources, review progress and make mid-course corrections.

    • Verifiable record of accomplishment of excellent management skills.

    • Good business sense and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
    • Must be a great networker
    • He/She must possess integrity
    • Must be entrepreneurial, personable, have good presentation and influencing skills
    • Great business development credentials
    • Possess great communication skills (oral and written)
    • Must possess management proficiency
    • Must possess good financial quotient
    • Must be able to coordinate coach teams and develop standards,
    • Must be apt in decision-making and possess a strategic outlook
    • Must be result oriented and have a knack for driving corporate performance
    • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent business communication skills
    • Ability to constantly be in charge regardless of internal or external business pressure.
    • Must have knowledge of downstream oil and gas industry.
    • Must have good understanding of the regulatory landscape and possess good contacts in the regulatory landscape DPR and PPMC.

    Remuneration
    N700, 000 to N1million per month, depending on the experience and versatility of the successful candidate. There is also a generous performance related bonus.
