    Assistant Business Development Manager

    Marketing & Sales

    Reports to: Managing Director

    Job Description
    Job Objectives

    • To take full responsibility for strategy development and execution, provide valuable marketing intelligence through research that will aid in decision making.
    • To plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the strategic business direction of the company by developing plans and implementing strategies that will support the sales team to achieve its sales and financial objectives.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Stay informed of developments in the fields of Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, fabrication and other relevant sectors and then use this information to develop strategies.
    • Identifies market opportunities by analyzing consumer needs and requirements; defining market conditions and carryout SWOT analysis.
    • Take responsibility for product development, set targets with the managing director including milestones, or critical steps in the
    • achievement of goals as well as identify possible bottlenecks that can delay progress while developing plans to overcome them.
    • Identify distribution channels, devising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance targets.
    • Using and analyzing knowledge of the market and competitors to identify, develop and execute the company’s strategic business plan that meets or exceeds established sales goals and ensure increased revenue.

    Competency and Skills Requirements:

    • Industry Knowledge
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in research and marketing.
    • Thorough knowledge of the industry and market of Tranos.
    • Knowledge of the he solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors.
    • Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational skills required to succeed within the industry
    • Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business
    • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
    •  Culture-Oriented Mind-set
    • Must have a can-do attitude
    • Must be apt in proactive problem solving
    • Must be interested in continuous learning
    • Must always take responsibility and be accountable for individual and group goals

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor& degree in Marketing, Business development/management, economics or a related field.
    • Project Management Training
    • Experience in product development will be an added advantage.
    • A business or marketing master's degree or a Masters of Business is an added advantage.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Overall % business performance as against other similar company’s benchmarks.
    • Overall financial performance of the organization (attainment of financial targets).
    • Number of new businesses generated (per time period).
    • Level of market share.
    • Effectiveness of Marketing and Sales Strategies developed.
