    Shift Engineer - Power

    Responsibilities

    • Equipment check, control, maintenance, fault finding and trouble shooting
    • Handle shift operations ensuring minimum breakdowns
    • Monitor plant and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned and unplanned downtime
    • Provide regular process control checks, identify shortcomings and forthcoming obsolescence
    • Initiate and support performance improvement action
    • Review and recommend updates to Engineering policies and procedures
    • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards

    Requirements
    Education/Qualification:

    • The candidate should possess B. Eng or B. Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering or other relevant fields

    Experience:

    • The candidate should have 6 - 8 years experience in a similar role in Process Industries - Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Plastics, Cement etc.

    Skills and competencies:

    • Excellent understanding of power plant operations
    • Hands - on workmanship for B check and C check maintenance
    • Practical experience handling engine crank, oil circulation system, engine alignment, tapper system, turbo system, bearing and filter replacements, etc
    • Knowledge of gas engines, crank, lube oil circulation system, cooling water pumping system
    • Understanding of Engine mechanical alarm trip, Annuation panel DIO, AIO.
    • Knowledge of breakdown/preventive maintenance practices for smooth shift operations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft skills for preparing daily reports
    • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings/manuals
    • Good inter-departmental communications for streamlined shift operations
