Job Description

Summary: The Electrician provides electrical services per Netrux Global Concepts Limited objectives and/or standards and performs a variety of duties related to the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. He inspects, isolates, troubleshoots and repairs electrical malfunctions using various test instruments. Participates in the maintenance service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties may be assigned

• Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems, including all solar solutions, hybrids, ATS and Rectifiers.
• Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls and other electrical systems.
• Installs electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
• Assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs electrical apparatuses, estimates cost, time and materials of electrical work. Plans the layout and wiring of new or remodelled installations.
• Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.
• Monitors the electrical work of outside contractors (e.g. new sites, electrical system upgrades/expansions, major remodels, installations etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that the projects are satisfactory completed and within our clients’ specifications.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for electrical repairs and services.
• Inspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifies necessary repairs and recommends preventive maintenance. Takes appropriate action and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.

Desired Qualities

• Education/Experience
• High school diploma and vocational program in electrical or industrial electrical training.
•  Minimum of Three (3) years relevant experience in Industrial Electrical works or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the electrical trade.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade; inspection of, identification, and knowledge of all electrical distribution systems, methods and practices.
• Must have knowledge of Basic first aid procedures.
• Must be able to skillfully operate and safely use required tools/power equipment common in the electrical trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and great attention to detail. Must be able to work as a member of a team and possess good problem solving skills.
• Good learning ability. Action oriented and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
