Head, Research & Policy at Box and Cedar

Job Description:

• Conduct the research, collation, analysis and assessment of marketing information/indices that would provide adequate back-up and support for the Fund’ decision
• Facilitate the design and implementation of approved research framework/ strategy for the business
• Analyse macroeconomic trends and distil its implications identify investment opportunities
• Facilitate the conduct of environment/market research surveys and market intelligence activities
• Provide views, forecasts and recommendations on asset classes and industry sector allocations
• Author various industry, sector and company-specific research reports underpinned with Vigorous financial analysis
• Coordinate market intelligence activities, prepare competitive analysis report and forward recommendations to the relevant business groups
• Keep an up-to-date industry database on key sectors of interest for the Fund
• Identify and subscribe to relevant sources of information for the Fund
• Ensure that all information is reliable and up-to-date
• Contribute to quarterly, annual and other major publications.

Minimum Qualification:

• A good university degree preferably in Economics, Finance or Statistics

Knowledge & Skills

• Any of MBA, ACA or ACCA post qualification (Added advantage)
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in executing research/data analysis
• Good knowledge of macro-economic indices
• Outstanding qualitative and quantitative analytical skills combined with an ability to apply judgment and think strategically
• Knowledge of financial modeling skills
• Proven data gathering and analytical skills, experience with secondary data sources
• Excellent communication, report and analytical writing, presentation and inter-personal skills
• Self-motivated, organized and strong ability to multitask effectively
